Full day excursion with lunch
Chornobyl is the most famous Ukrainian phenomenon. If you plan to visit Ukraine or are already in the country, don’t miss the most important and unique experience and site.
The event, which got name "the Chornobyl Disaster”, has changed the trajectory of our civilization development, it is the most evident contribution of Ukraine into the global history. Its place – the Chornobyl Zone, with the nuclear power plant (NPP), which doesn’t produce energy anymore but instead paradoxically consumes it, and an abandoned ghost town of Pripyat, – like a time machine, let you see the events past and realize how both history and nature works. The intricate ensemble of hundreds of impressive technical and cultural monuments is surrounded and engulfed by flourishing nature, which has gone wild in this area.
Radiation makes the zone particularly interesting. Now at the ground there lays, in the thousand-times-decreased scale, a picture of contamination after a large radiation incident – the picture extremely intricate, interesting, representative also for chemical accidents and terrorist attacks, and fortunately already safe for the visitors. Of course, the Zone in its central part still has places with elevated radiation – but if you follow the suggested route and the guides’ directions, your visit to the Chernobyl zone and Pripyat town will be absolutely radiation-safe.
Attention! You can book any scheduled group tour listed in the tour calendar. The registration usually closes 3-5 days before the tour date.

In our trips you will learn the facts about the Chornobyl catastrophe and about other radiation catastrophes and accidents. Moreover, these facts will be correctly interpreted for you by experts, and you will learn about the real effects of radiation and the disaster. For your trip you can rent an individual dosimeter to carry with you. This accurate, precise, reliable and convenient instrument will provide you with an on-going reading of radiation level and dose, will give an immediate feeling of an invisible radioactive landscape, in which you will be traveling, and warn you about the increase of radiation. The device will become one more organ of your senses, and you will develop a specific 'feeling of radiation environment', the one you can get only in the Chornobyl Zone.We will also provide you with a map of the area and a scheme of the trip. It will help you to find a way in the avalanche of your impressions, store them in your mind, and eventually form an integral picture of the contemporary Zone and the catastrophe. For years to come, these map and scheme will remind you about your trip to the Chornobyl Zone, and help you relate your experiences from the Chornobyl zone to your dearest and nearest. The trips, the topics and content are developed by Sergii Mirnyi, a radiation surveillance officer, an active participant in the accident's mitigation in the Zone in 1986, and a well-known expert in Chornobyl and radiation environmental catastrophes. He is also regarded as a pro Chornobyl storyteller: his screenplay and documentary novel obtained awards at prestigious competitions. By the end of the trip, many of your questions will have been answered, and you will have ample photos and memories to share as you take the story and experience of Chornobyl with you.
