Ukrainian visa for entering the country (Ukraine) is required for citizens of most countries.
Citizens, who need Ukrainian visa
No visas are required for citizens of the following countries: Poland, Hungary, Romania, and Mongolia, Former USSR countries (except for Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia), citizens of EU, Switzerland, Japan, Canada and United States.
Please, note that there are four kinds of visas to Ukraine: transit, private, tourist and business. In order to apply for a tourist visa, you need to have a set of documents including a Visa Support Letter from A Destination Management Company. This letter, prepared for you by our company, is a third party confirmation that you are indeed going to Ukraine. This document is faxed or sent to you for submission to the Ukraine Consulate nearest to you.
Application requirements:
• Valid passport/travel document with at least one blank page.
• One completed and signed application form.
• Two recent passport-size photos.
• Fee (postal order or company cheque only; if applying by post, enclose two separate postal orders or company cheques covering the handling charge and visa fee).
• A contact telephone number.
• Recorded, registered, self-addressed envelope for postal applications. Tourism: (a)-(f) and, (g) *Tourist voucher with confirmation of hotel booking. Business: (a)-(f) and, (g) *Letter of invitation from Ukrainian company or organisation stating purpose of the visit.
• *For Multiple-entry visas, detailed letters from Ukrainian company and company in home country explaining necessity for Multiple-entry visa.
• Copy of registration certificate of company or office in Ukraine. Private: (a)-(f) and, (g) *Letter of invitation from Ukraine (faxed copy is acceptable) issued by the Passport and Immigration Department of a local Police Station in the Ukraine. Transit: (a)-(f) and, (g) Photocopy of the visa (if required) of the country of destination.
Note: *Nationals of EU countries, Canada, Japan, Slovak Republic, Switzerland, Turkey and the USA applying for business or private visas do not require a letter of invitation.
IMPORTANT: Invitation letters are NOT necessary for citizens of US, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, Slovak Republic, Turkey and citizens of the countries of the European Union for obtaining official, business, private, cultural/ sporting and scientific visas.
Time required to issue visa:
Depending on validity, there exist the following types of visas: short-term visas (issued for up to 6 months) and long-term visas (6-12 months); by frequency of use the visas are divided into single, multiple and collective.
